Advance Employment Inc., is a Disability Open Employment Service (DOES). Advance Employment is a not for profit community based organization that has been operating since 1996 in the Townsville/Thuringowa area. Advance Employment was originally funded by the Commonwealth Department of Family and Community Services (FaCS) to assist people with mental illness to find open and meaningful employment. In April 2005 the Disability Open Employment Services (DOES) were moved to the Commonwealth Department of Employment & Workplace Relations (DEWR).
A prospective job seeker must have a diagnosed mental health condition in order to be eligible to be referred to Advance Employment. It is the policy of Advance Employment to establish and maintain a positive and supportive relationship with each job seeker based on dignity, trust and respect.

Advance Employment employs Employment Consultants, Employment Support Consultants and a Marketing Coordinator who have many years of industry experience and knowledge.

Advance Employment has a number of skilled jobseekers registered with the agency who wish to continue on or establish a new career path within the local labour market. The job seeker will have worked with the Employment Consultant/Employment Support Consultant/Marketing Coordinator to ensure that the job seekers to ensure the best possible job match.
